Seelbach - Schönberg - Gengenbach - Offenburg(57 km / ~ 400 m elevation gain)
The road now descends into the Kinzig valley. Here there's a choice between multiple small roads and a marked bike path going down the valley.
Soon Gengenbach comes into sight. A visit of the former Free imperial city is worthwhile.
Immediately behind the city gate the center with the half-timbered houses, the historic town hall, the market square
and small lanes begins.
The bicyclepath through the Kinzig valley goes into Offenburg via Ohlsbach. However, you can also go to Offenburg in parallel to the Kinzig river. If you don't want to enter Offenburg you can turn in the direction of Zunsweier and take a hilly route to Lahr through Diersburg, Oberschopfheim and Friesenheim. This adds a bit of climbing and avoids the tedious section next to the B3. (Attention: the sign "Radfahrer Sturzgefahr" in Heiligenzell warns of a genuinely dangerous piece of road furniture.)
